History Behind IIT Delhi

IIT Delhi Collaborated UK, USA, and West Germany

Located in Hauz Khas, South Delhi, IIT Delhi is a public research university which has been declared as the Institute of National importance under IIT Act by the Government of India. The campus of IIT Delhi spreads across 325 acres and is surrounded by monuments like the Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple. IIT Delhi is a paradise for an engineering aspirant and is a dream for every student aspiring to become an engineer. Just like its beautiful campus, the history of this institute is one to be chewed upon.

The Establishment of IIT Delhi

The member of Education on Viceroy’s Executive Council, Shri N. M. Sircar was the one who first introduced the concept of IITs in the year of 1945. On his recommendation, in the year of 1950, the first IIT came into existence in Kharagpur. After that, he also suggested that there should be more IITs in a country. Accepting his recommendation, the Government decided to open more IITs with the help of other countries who wanted to help India in this endeavour. USSR was first to offer this help in establishing IITs and it was then that the Institutes of Technology at Kanpur, Delhi, and Madras were open with the collaborations of UK, USA, and West Germany.

Foundation of IIT Delhi

There was a negotiation between the Government of India and the British Government that they will start the institute in a very modest way. Hence, with the help of the British Government, a College of Engineering and Technology would be started at the national capital of India. With the help of The Federation of British Industries in London and the UK Government, a trust known as the Delhi Engineering College Trust was established. The foundation stone of Indian Institute of Technology was laid on 28th January 1959 at Hauz Khas in Delhi by H.R.H. Prince Philips, the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Renaming of College of Engineering and Technology

Earlier it was named as College of Engineering and Technology and it was in the year 1961, the College of Engineering & Technology was declared as an Institution of National Importance under Institute of Technology Act. In 1963, it was given the tag of ‘IIT’.For More Visit us at www.meetcareer.com

In the middle of highly hectic study schedules, students of IIT-K find some time to get along with friends at the IIT Kanpur campus. The most famous hangout places in the campus are OAT - Open Air Theatre – where you can watch movies with your students, CCD (Cafe Coffee Day) where you can go with your coffee date, and MT - the "MT ki chai" is quite popular in the campus. Even the PG halls' (hostels) canteens, located near the lawn, are really good where one can enjoy tasty food at reasonable costs. Even very early mornings, students could be seen taking sips of tea and coffee in the canteen. So, you will be fully spoil for choice.

At the end of four years, students won't remember whether they got that obligatory GPL or not, but the friend’s sadistic laughter and time spent here with the friends is what they cherish for the rest of the life. For More Articles visit us at www.meetcareer.com

Mantra for being a sucessfull person

Here are some important lessons that you can learn and benefit from:

We are humans and we all make mistakes. It is not wrong to make mistakes but what is important is that we learn valuable lessons from our mistakes. But someone has rightly said that a wise man learns from others mistakes and that way one can save oneself to some extent.

Life is short, live it fully.
If you have a job you dislike, a boss who is difficult to handle, a career which seems directionless, don’t wait and do something to change it. Don’t live with ifs and buts, else regrets will replace your dreams.
Make genuine connections with people
You will always see that the successful people have diverse and amazing social networks. Their connections are not just superficial acquaintances but genuine connections. Whether you are in job or business, building good relations with people is important. Little things matter in relationships.
Success begins from within
Successful people not only focus on their work but also other aspects of their life and health is one of them. Being busy doesn’t mean you start neglecting your health. One must ensure that one is taking enough rest, exercise and healthy diet. If your body is healthy, your mind can work better.
Socialize with people in person, not online
Connect to people by meeting them, talking to them, that’s the way you build bonds. Spending hours on online social media like Facebook, Instagram, checking emails etc. doesn’t build relationships. You miss out on many beautiful things in life if you are not connecting with people personally, offline.
Be committed to learning
A person who is always open to learning is someone who grows faster in life. There is so much to learn in this world. So shed your inhibitions or ego and start learning from anyone and everyone. Don’t cling to what you think and what you know. Be ready to make your life beautiful by learning whenever you get a chance.
Don’t let your worries master you
It is ok to worry about things as long as it propels you to take action in the right direction in resolving things. But if things are out of your hand, and you still keep worrying about it, then it becomes a problem. So don’t waste your time on worrying about things, rather work on solving the issues by doing your best.
Failure is not fatal
Take the example of any successful person in the history and you will find many failures in that person’s life. Failure is a part of success. It is never fatal. It is not the end of everything. Rather failure is an opportunity to help you reach your goals. For example, Einstein had failed thousand times before he achieved monumental success. So never fear failure, embrace it.For More information visit us www.meetcareer.com

Want to crack HPCET 2017 we let you know

Here a few tips and tricks to crack HPCET 2017 without coaching:

Read the syllabus

A candidate should make it a habit of reading the syllabus before beginning preparation. If you are not sure about the syllabus then consult your coaching center, or check the official site for the same. HPCET syllabus includes quantitative aptitude, logical and verbal reasoning, English, and current affairs part. The paper is of moderate level which a student can crack easily if he/she devotes only 4-5 hours study daily. HPCET also provides coaching for two months before the exam date. You can join this coaching it’s reasonable and can give you an idea about the pattern of the exam.

Coaching Centers:
It is a general concern for the students to inquire upon the possibilities of exploring coaching centers when they don’t have much time left for preparation. Every student is aware of his/her potentials and knows well how to proceed further with preparation and if there is a need for coaching then you should choose a good coaching institute. However, there are also some students who might not feel the need of any kind of help from outside, while others might stand reluctantly doubtful about their capabilities. There is no need to feel less able or equipped in any case. Coaching institutes are for this purpose only and you can join them anytime if you are not confident about your preparation.

Self-Evaluation
Every individual knows about his/her capabilities better than anyone else. As you are well aware that the exam is approaching fast, so stop gathering any material from unreliable sources but start evaluating yourself. The evaluation will make it clear that there is a need for coaching or not. If you feel that you require coaching from a good institute then join one immediately. On the other hand, if you don’t want to join a coaching institute spread a word amongst your friends that you need good study material for HPCET exam.

There might be people in your group who have taken coaching from an institute consult them and get to know the strategies they executed. You can also conduct self-tests for yourself as much as you can and finally evaluate your performance. Evaluation is the highest level in the cognitive process. It is important to sit peacefully and look at your answers. Also, check the method you applied to solve the questions and what could be the shortest solution possible. If the method you used to solve the questions was not shortest possible, then find the easier one and implement it.

You can easily prepare for HPCET by devoting 5 hours to study daily. Paper is not that difficult and you can easily crack it without any need of prior coaching. However, if you are not confident about your preparation, then you should consult a coaching center or a private tutor to guide you through your preparation. For more information www.meetcareer.com

Know How 1 Percent Rule Will Help You Achieve Goals Faster

KNOW HOW 1 PERCENT RULE WILL HELP YOU ACHIEVE GOALS FASTER

How would it be if you could get what you want just in a blink of an eye? Of course, it would feel great as then we don’t have to whine about things.
But it doesn’t work this way in reality.

Change is the law of nature. Even if we want to get into a shape, we have to commit to change diets, regular exercise and what not, and then if we want a promotion, change work priorities, do hard work, meet deadlines etc.

When “time” factor strikes our mind, we get impatient and even give up sometimes because the situation becomes so difficult and we feel like there is no scope for improvement.

So, the question is how to toggle our mindset?

The answer is simple “just do 1% better every day.” Now, what does this 1% a day mean? Easy! Get a little better each day. Now 1% each day means 365% a year!

When you put it like 365% better each year, if feels like those small changes are worth it! Just imagine putting minimal efforts on daily basis can yield a colossal output.

Let’s say, there is a project going on in the office that seems to be moving slowly and giving less output. So, the next morning you can come up with a new project or idea that could make work more efficient. Then the following day gets the feedback of your idea from your colleagues and seniors and keeps working hard on the project each day. Surely the efforts would take months or even years to be recognised but after adding 1% input everyday you will see that the project has come out with flying colours after years. Also, you will see a major improvement in yourself. In the process of modifying the project, you will realise that you have tailored yourself.
Don’t focus on what would be the end or how much time it will take to go there, rather start focusing on that 1% which you are adding to everyday.
In the long run, you will experience a different you, as long as you will stick to it! For More information visit us at www.meetcareer.com
